Quick answers

Red Fam is part of SJSU VSA’s Family Program. Official VSA channels remain the source of truth for current membership logistics.

What is Red Fam?

Red Fam is the Red Phoenix family within SJSU VSA’s Family Program—a smaller community inside the larger organization.

Do I have to be Vietnamese to join SJSU VSA?

No. SJSU VSA welcomes Vietnamese and non-Vietnamese students who want to share culture, community, and connection.

How do I join SJSU VSA?

New members are generally accepted at the beginning of each semester. Check official SJSU VSA channels for the current form, fee, and paperwork.

How does the Family Program work?

Members submit a family application and are placed into one of four families. Red Fam’s motto is “Work hard, play hard.”

Where should I look for official VSA information?

Use the official SJSU VSA website or @sjsuvsa for current membership, meeting, and campus information.
